Using Honey and Vaseline
Combining honey and vaseline makes a simple home remedy for chapped lips. Let us see how!
Directions: Take some honey and apply it on your lips. Keep the honey on the lips for a few seconds. After the honey has dried, apply Vaseline over the honey coated lips. Now leave the lips untouched for 10 – 15 minutes. Take a cotton swab dip it in hot water and remove the honey-Vaseline combination from your lips. Do it gently and in two strokes. Repeat the above procedure for about 2 – 5 days. This will heal your lips from cracks and dryness.
Using Coconut Oil and Beeswax
Coconut oil is a very good for skin. Its combination with beeswax is one of the excellent chapped lips home remedies. Also, beeswax lip balm is a commonly used natural lip balm as beeswax has the property of sealing the hydration.
Directions: Take 2 teaspoons of beeswax and melt it in microwave. Add 2 tablespoons of coconut oil to the molten beeswax. Let the mixture cool. Now you may add some fruity essences to this mixture and store it in empty lip balm tube. Apply this twice everyday to have smooth and healthy lips all the time. One can also use shea butter instead of coconut oil and make shea butter lip balm. Shea butter is also a rich emollient that easily penetrates lips and moisturizes it well.
